He calls his writing, "A line of Baloney by Dayle
Maloney" - but the former Grantsburg man, who made an appearance
at the Home Sweet Home Show on Saturday, is still pushing words,
only this time in book form.
"I
Could Have Quit $10,000,000 ago" is Maloney's own account
of his rise from being $350,000 in the hole at the age of 47 to
the multi-million status he enjoys today.
His
connections with Grantsburg are strong - from the time he came
to Grantsburg and opened up MS News and Photo with Richard Schinzing.
The MS stood for Maloney and Schinzing. Today, he lives in Eau
Claire and still waits religiously to read The Burnett County
Sentinel because he likes to "keep in touch."
He's
proud of the fact he was the fellow who, "Brought Herb Brooks
to Grantsburg" to speak. And his book, with 110,000 sales,
has met his wildest expectations.
But
the tale he tells winds down from deprivation, when he fought
polio, was evicted from his apartment and had to move in with
his mother-in-law, down to the point of making millions.
Today
he works with 10,000 distributors in 43 countries around the world
and has helped more people in one year improve their health with
this juice than he did in 17 1/2 years with 500 products in my
last company. The product is TAHITIAN NONI® Juice, which he
calls, "The greatest product I have ever experienced,"
He said it "totally changed my life." He says sales
were $2 billion in the first seven years and more than $1 billion
has already been paid out in commissions to distributors. Sales
last month were $42,500,000 and every month is a new sales record."
Formerly
in a wheel chair with polio, Maloney can walk with the help of
a cane.
Maloney,
formerly a writer for The St. Paul Pioneer Press, he remembers
covering a murder in Burnett county, recalls a story with an Arthur
Birnstengel, a man who ran an ad for a wife, got 500 letters and
had 38,000 women who wanted to marry him but he turned 'em all
down.
His
Grantsburg and Burnett County past never leaves him and he fondly
recalls many folks and memories from his time here. His wife Jeannine
Miller was the daughter of the Branstad Store owner, so the ties
run deep.
