| Do
you mean you have dried dandelion root and dried milk thistle seed?
You
can make infusion of dandelion root by the usual infusion (not
tea) method (I love dandelion root infusion). Ditto milk thistle
seed, although I am not familiar with water preparations of her.
See here for instructions on infusion quantities.
Milk
thistle seed can also be ground and sprinkled on food. Dandelion
root can be cooked in slow cooking soups and stews - this works
best if it's not powdered (there is a great recipe in Susun Weed's
Healing Wise).
Remember that the type of preparation extracts different properties
eg some constituents will extract best into alcohol, others best
into water. Most people take dandelion tincture (alcohol) as a
liver support, but I have used the infusion long term and found
it very nourishing and beneficial. I've also used it as a food.
Both of those are good alternatives for people not wanting to
have the alcohol form.
